i just lost faith in the wtbs
According to JWs, that would make you Apostate CN. One must not challenge "Big Brother" even if "Big Brother" is not following God's intended values.
so often , on this board, we see imposters claiming to be interested in learning the truth about the "truth".
they may seem to genuinely want to know things and they might ask thought-provoking questions.....so how do you know if the person you're dealing with is the real deal or not??
any tips to help us know who those "fake apostates" are??

Anyone that thinks differently than the collective is an apostate. Anyone that has proof showing that the collective is wrong is an apostate and so is the proof. Anyone that stands in opposition to the org and its belief system is an apostate. Anyone that challenges another's thinking with the real facts about the org is an apostate. Anyone that asks questions that seem to dig into the org's hypocrasy is an apostate.
In theory those criteria should not make one an apostate as the entire world outside the JWs (or at least a good chunk of it) would be considered Apostate. In practical (JW) application, I think you are absolutely right Crinklestein. That is probably one of the reasons why they would be viewed as a cult.

Any tips to help us know who those "fake apostates" are?? (Just for your own information, I'm a "real apostate". I have a problem with your definition of "Apostate" Min. Technically speaking an "Apostate" is a "Renegade". In it's strictist sense that would only apply to ex-JWs and nobody else. Often we see JWs label someone's website or literature as "Apostate" simply to prevent JWs from ever viewing it's contents based on their rules but in actuality it is a WT term applied to JWs who have left "the truth" and either simultaniously or after the fact have made comments which bring into question the credibility of any claims which the Watchtower (Publishing) Corporation has made. Even though my life was unfortunately interwined with JWs through the abuse of my children and litigation with Watchtower legal, I have never been a JW and am not an Apostate. I don't think someone who has never been a JW could be correctly classified as "Apostate" but especially if they are only here to learn more about the JWs. Anyone who fits this category and refers to themselves as Apostate does so incorrectly, in my opinion.
"all of the warnings we have today indicate that a major strike ?
something more horrible than anything we've seen before ?
is all but inevitable," said yossef bodansky, former director of the u.s. congressional task force on terrorism and unconventional warfare, in an interview yesterday with the jerusalem post.
Terror Expert says new attack coming-what do you think?
Heard that 2 years ago and nothing. In fact it was the U.S. who struck....Iraq.
I wonder if these experts "go short" on the market and then put out the fear.
so mrs. kwin, like myself, has started the fade.
she's getting visits or calls 2 to 3 times a week from jw's in the hall.
what do you do when you get these visits?
Good luck to you and the Mrs. Kwintestal. Eventually, after you can stop living under their control, freedom should be yours....but you're on your way. I recognize that this statement is easier said than done but don't hang onto any bitterness. Let it go immediatley and keep looking forward- always.
i really don't thing the witlesses are going away.
too many people have invested too much time... i take that back i dont' think they are going away anytime soon... however if they plan to stick around they must change soon so what beliefs will be jettisoned this week as the light grows brighter and what beliefs will they keep (and why).
1st obviously is that the gb is only one step (small step) below god and at least equal if now one step above jesus.
WT go mainstream? Don't hold your breath on that one.
For fun though if they ever did I will predict which belief they won't give up because for me that is easier to predict.
I predict they will keep the shunning because they enjoy it so much. The control, the destruction of the family...I think they love that abusive trait too much.
american liberals sneaking .

Has anyone noticed here in Toronto the mass of south americans now? In certain industries like construction and the food service and hotel industry the spanish have taken over. What used to be a prodominante european rule of these sectors it has been taken over by the new influx of immigrants from the south.
I haven't noticed this mind you my acitivities are confined to the downtown core and suburbia. I have also become accustomed to the mixture of cultures over the last 3 decades. For those who do not realize, Toronto has been referred to as the most culturally/ethnically diverse city in the world. One thing is certain: It ain't W.A.S.P town anymore.
i opened this email (call me crazy) on a whim last night..........i haven't told another soul about this, cause i'm afraid it isn't real.
scroll down for their response to my response...k?.

Yeah, Happy Guy....INTERPOL oughta go after 'em, too! I figured it was probably bogus, but there are a lot of totally naive ppl out there that're gettin' ripped off, I'm sure.
Actually they do. Occasionally some get caught but most get away because they move around constantly from one residence to another. When things get to hot in one country they will flee to one of the others where their "friends" are operating already.
from the perspective of a uk observer it seems to me that the divide between 'the world' as it is in conservative heartlands of the us, and the mindset of the jehovah's witness is getting narrower by the day.. is there really a big difference between a jw and a majority of people in such places?
in the newspaper today i read how the new film alexander was being slated for showing alexander the great as a bisexual.
the uk independent reported that one online critic has warned christians that are considering seeing the film to "speak to your pastors immediately because satan is attempting to enter your mind".
Firstly Spider, it's important to distinguish between "Conservative Heartlands" and "Religiously Conservative". Some pictures on the internet made humour of the election after Bush won and labeled many states as "Bible States" when this would not be true in reality. A person who votes for a Republican rather than a Democrat would not necessarily be an indication of religious affiliation. In fact, it is more likely an indication of their position on Fiscal Policy - a very "secular" topic.
I do realize that your post was not specifically making that claim but some other comments in your post made me think that you may have a view of the U.S. which is colored by media reports.
From a statistical point of view, the religious view which your post made mention of is more likely to occur in "the Bible Belt' and the U.S. mid-west states. Even if one were to (wrongly) assume that fully 100 percent of these people are ultra conservative religiously, then that would still only account for approximately 23 percent of the U.S. population.
In reality, the type of individual which you mention in your post as being afraid of Satanic influences in Hollywood films would be a very, very small minority in the U.S. That is probably why Hollywood finds it's best singular market for it's pictures right in the U.S.
ohhhhh, this is incredible!!!!
i'm feeling its warm glow down my throat...oh, it's heaven!
i've tasted a lot of shiraz but this one's just........incredible!!!.
I will go to the liqour store this evening and see if I can find some. Thnx for the tip Ozzie.
